Photoshop Tutorial : Animating Text

Come up with a word or words to use! I'm going to use my name. So first, make a new document and type in your word in any color you want. 

Step 2: Go to layer>duplicate layer and make that layer a different color. Then duplicate again and do another color. Keep doing that until you have all the colors you want. 

Step 3: Go to Window>Animation. A window should pop up. Click the eye on all the layers except the bottom one, like this:

 

Step 4: Then go to your animation box, and click the button to the left of the trash can.  
Click the eye on the second layer, so that it shows up. Then go to the animation box again, and click the button next to the trash can. Then click the third layer, so it shows up. Repeat this until you have done all your layers. Then you can click the play button (>) to view it. There's your animation! 

Step 5: Now you need to save it. Go to File>Save for web and save it. Then upload it to your website or wherever you want. Here's mine:
